KCL BBQ & Chinese in Kauai

The food is amazing. I love how tender all their cuts of meat are. They serve some homemade BBQ sauce (I think) but the meat is so flavorful and juicy you don't need it. Ribs fall right off the bone. Burnt end tacos on Tuesday are definitely something you have to try. My kids like the beans and bacon mac and cheese but my favorite side is the sweet potato fries. Perfectly crisp on the outside and not dried out on the inside. Always hot and fresh. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is cause every time I go something gets left out of my order. They always make it right the next time I go back but always check your bag before you leave.

Just a couple of blocks north of I70 in Kansas City, Kansas. Decent parking on or off the street. We stopped by in mid afternoon traveling from Denver to St Louis. This is very much a local restaurant and looked like it had quite a few regular customers that knew exactly what they wanted. Pretty good outdoor seating as long as the weather is good. The counter staff was very helpful in assisting us in choosing what to order. The line moved along quickly and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. We'll stop here again on our next trip through KC.will be back soon

Great stop right off the highway. Just wanted to grab some bbq while traveling. Able to order online then grab and go. We parked our motor home right out front no problem. Staff was friendly and helpful despite being very busy.

While I knew how good the food was going to be at Slap’s BBQ, I took for granted how good the service was. They were running as smoothly as I’ve seen during the pandemic. You could see the smiles even though they all had masks on. When I was ready to pay, they noticed i was wearing a VCP (Veterans Community Project) mask and not only thanked me for my service but comped my meal. High five to Slap’s and thank you.

This is honestly probably the best hole-in-the-wall type place in the REGION to get incredibly tender and flavorful smoked ribs for a great price. I cannot recommend this place enough, especially for those new to KCMO if you are looking for a good BBQ experience!

A lot of amazing BBQ places in KC and Slap's definitely belongs among the top of the top. Friendly staff with good sized portions of food makes this a great place to stop and eat. I try to take pictures of food but keep eating it all before I remember to photograph it. Means another trip in the future to try again.

Great tasting food. The burnt end tacos were amazing. The roof top patio is a great place to sit and enjoy. Definitely visit if you haven't already.

Best BBQ in Kc! The pulled pork is fire, and both sauces are fantastic. Very cool atmosphere with the new rooftop outdoor seating as well.

The meats were awesome. Choose The Cattleman meal to try a sampling of all their beef. You can't go wrong.

Got the cattleman combo. Really good sausage, very tender brisket and delicious burnt ends. Beans were a little disappointing, but the warm potato casserole is just amazing

Every time I have the opportunity to come to this area of Kansas City, Slap's BBQ is my go-to place for a meal. Their beef, pork, chicken, and ribs are PHENOMENAL. These ribs didn't need any sauce, were perfectly season, and pulled right off the bone. The prices aren't bad, especially for the quality and quantity of food you get. If you get the chance, GO TO SLAPS!

Delicious and moist meats even near the end of the day. Hush puppies tasted a bit over cooked and would have been better with a little butter, but they had an interesting spiciness that I enjoyed.

The smell of the smokers hit us as we were walking up, the food was amazing. From out of town and had to get some great KC BBQ, and this place was well worth it, and the taste was the best bbq I've had. If I come through KC again ill stop and try more. I had the burnt ends sandwich which was just perfect.
